Still learning

Ustaz Erfino best. He is not like the typical penceramah we all see. He makes Islam look simple, and easy to follow. I think what he said is spot on, and practical. This is his last talk since he will be going back to Malaysia in few weeks. What a bummer. To all the naqibahs and whatnots (I am not really familiar with all the terms yet) there are some good points he mentioned that I thought can really improve the way dakwah works. I specifically mention the naqibahs, etc because as one of the people who are always approached by them, I feel like some of the ways they have used were not really appropriate. Different groups need different methods. Not that I am any expert. Haha.

P/s: If you think this is uncool, so be it. You don't know what you miss. ;P

Okay, really? Out of all the going ons in my life, you are questioning my mere attempt to change for the better?

Masyarakat sekarang memang bermasalah. I think it is easier for people to accept if I become a blondie by the time I return to Malaysia, rather than the opposite (and by opposite I don't mean brunette).

I appreciate your concern. I really do. But I do feel a bit insulted when you worry about the possibility of me to be involved in some kind of extreme groups. First of all, nobody can force me to do things I don't want to do, I can assure you that. Secondly, I'd like to think I have the level of intelligence to differentiate between what is appropriate and what is not. I don't get why this even became an issue since regretfully, I admit, I am not much different from who I am before I came here. Ah well, step by step.

I notice I always write emo posts at this hour. Interesting.        

Sesi membuat 'kuih'.

Instead of membuat ketupat macam kebanyakan orang, me and a couple of friends have a 'buat kuih' session. Tak, kami tak buat kuih literally. So don't get you hopes up.

They are more or less similar to my late night self reflection sessions. Tapi melibatkan orang lain selain Smak (therefore is more interesting), dan sentiasa sampai tengah malam. I love the sessions, ada teh and supper siap.
And new insights. :)

And no, kami tak buat ketupat, literal or figuratively.

Baru faham kenapa ayah suka lepak kedai kopi dengan geng dia.

Just got off the phone with a friend and she led me to an interesting thought.
