Ubat pertama saya...

Whoa..i handmade an ubat for the first time yesterday!

The Co-amilozide powders aren't worth bragging, actually, because i just crushed the tablets, add in 360 mg of lactose, triturate them properly and last but not least packed them into an origami. It is literally an origami because we have to follow unique folding instructions from Mr Farrukh in order for the paper to be made into a secure container for the powders. Nevertheless the trituration was really something - as much as i like playing with mortar and pestle, my right hand got tired after grinding for several minutes, and i cant imagine doing this whole tumbuk-sambal-belacan-thing for another 30 years of my life! You're right Farah, i think it's even worse than menumbuk sambal belacan.

Luckily the modern-day pharmacists dont do extemporaneous preparation anymore. Muchas gracias, technology!

Anyway, my second artwork was an oral solution of Ferrous Sulphate which is basically a mixture of ferrous sulphate, ascorbic acid, syrup, chloroform water and of course, distilled water. My lab partners (and myself, of course :)) managed to be the first group to have finish despite the fact we made a mistake in weighing at the start of the lab (use Class C balance ok, not Class A!). We can go back early, so it was really a relief!

I dont like labs because i'm not meticulous, and am really no good with little details. I am motivating myself to like labs, though, considering the fact that next week we have a MOCK PRACTICAL TEST!

Seriously.... I think I have to change my career. Menternak lintah sekarang dah untung kan??

hey: Sadly...all the fruits of our hardwork for the day either went down the drain or into the yellow 'hazard waste' plastic bag. I know I'm a beginner, but can't you just spare some appreciation to my first work?!!
