I am a nerd.

Since I don't have anything else to do, I shall let all of you have a peek of my (rarely used) desk. Before I begin, I would like to state that:

1. I had just finished my exam hence the notes and thick medical and pharmacology reference books.
2. Saya bukan seorang yang kemas. I admit this.
3. I seriously don't use the desk for studying or whatsoever. Dalam setahun ada la sekali dua kot duduk situ. Itu pon sebab nak ambil barang ke. Haha. 

Okay, let see..shall I start with the top part? 

Top left: Inhabited mostly by small gifts and souvenirs from friends. Ahaa, KB, I bet you noticed that fluffy pinky thingy, aku menghargainya tau! Siap letak kat situ lagi. The devil horn was from..I don't remember, I think it is Kun Yang's. Took it from him during the 2009 new year celebration and never had the chance to return it back. Haha. There's a mini devil from Zurre, a wooden giraffe from my little sis, wooden orang Sabah from Limah, and mini birthday bear from Anith with my nametag attached to it. Oh if you look close enough you can see there is a one-pound coin in front of the mini bear, Athirah bagi. It keeps falling out of my purse so I put it there.


Top middle and top right section are filled with books. From left: Twilight, New Moon, Time Traveller's Wife (all of which has been made into a movie - I bought it long before the movie was out okay), Oxford Clinical Medicine Handbook (love the colourful cover, haha itu pon nak bagitahu), The Gift (from Athirah, siap author sign lagi), The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Nightdress (yang tak habis baca lagi), Beautiful Boy (story of a boy with meth addiction), Oxford dictionary, a couple of old Reader's Digest, Life of Pi (cerita menarik pasal seorang budak yang stuck dalam boat dengan seekor harimau di tengah-tengah laut, recommended by Paan) and last but not least, Tafsir al-Quran mini. Oh yang kat atas macam bunga kat pasu tu is a gift from Mcja. The goggle and green mushroom cap (I call it that, yea) dah berhabuk sebab dah lama tak ada lab session.

The small, square-shaped yellow book (filled with beautiful quotes on friendship) on the lower rack was from FarahNab, and oh, the two most important books for my hospital attachment are right next to it- British National Formulary and Pharmacology Handbook. The grey box contains stuff. Lots of insignificant stuff. 

On the desk, as you can see, are my notes, calculator and reference book. 

And that was it. Voila! Nerdie nerdie. Oh don't get me wrong, I do read other stuff- jiwang Malay novels, even (although I don't buy them). But if you ask me about Malay books, I'd recommend Andrea Hirata's. He's not exactly Malay though. He's Indonesian. Some of his work are Laskar Pelangi, Sang Pemimpi, Edensor, and Maryamah Karpov. Emak yang recommend. I find them to be quite interesting. 

I read everything. I love reading (selain buku yang sepatutnya dibaca la), but I don't have favourites- people who has favourites don't read enough. :P
