Sesumpah

I really am not interested in the current hot issue in Malaysia but I felt like I should put this up because all this crazy sumpah laknat thing can be very confusing to non-Muslims and Muslims alike. Again, the root of the problem is the lack of proper understanding of our Deen, Islam. Do listen to the ustaz's explanation in the video. Thank God someone is sensible and brave enough to clear this up before more misunderstandings of the religion can occur, and he explained it rather well I'd say. Short and clear and most importantly, with reference to the Quran.

• Proses sumpah untuk menuduh seseorang itu berzina tiada dalam hukum syara' kecuali yang membabitkan suami isteri sahaja.

I don't really have the knowledge (even so, I do know that this is not the right way to solve things) so sorry for the lack of info because I am currently busy studying for my finals. No time to search for a more complete explanation. However I think this explanation is quite reliable. Do correct me if anything is wrong or missing.

"They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah . Indeed, it was evil that they were doing." (63:2)

"Mereka menjadikan sumpah-sumpah mereka sebagai perisai, lalu mereka menghalang-halangi (manusia) dari jalan Allah. Sungguh, betapa buruknya apa yang telah mereka kerjakan." (63:2)
